NY skyline as we head to Staten Island

When we return we will travel 44 miles up the coast of NJ to Atlantic City, where we will spend one night. The marina is connected to the Golden Nugget Casino, so we ate there then walked through the casino. It's probably a good thing that I'm not close to one all the time, cause I think it's fun!!! I feel the same way about horse racing.......just sayin'!!!! We walked around till I found a quarter machine that looked good ( and didn't have someone sitting at it); and sat down. On my third pull of the lever (I like to pull the lever, don't care for those buttons).....I started winning! Not a life changing amount by any means, but it was fun!!!

The next day we head to Mansion Marina on Staten Island. It was a 97 mile day.......we will be here a couple days and visit the city. We walked and walked then walked some more; just to buy tickets for the bus to take us into the city!!!!!!!! Then we rode the bus for an hour into Manhattan.....what a day!!! Most of our day was spent at the 911 Memorial and Museum. Words cannot express the feelings you have.......

6/22 thru 6/27/17

We had a 22 mile day up the St. Lawrence River into Canada. We are docked @ Confederate Basin Marina in Kingston, Ontario. This is a nice place to be, the marina is right at the downtown area so that it is convenient to walk to lots of restaurants and shops and a nice farmers market. We are actually staying here longer than planned because of either wind or rain. It's a great place to be though!!! We toured Fort Henry, Penetentiary Museum, home of John McDonald (Canada's 1st Prime Minister), and the cities beautiful architecture.
