I'M CAUGHT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MARENA SAYS "HI"

THIS IS AN AWESOME RECIPE & SO SIMPLE TO MAKE

3/28/17 thru 4/1/17

We left Ft. Pierce early on the 28th, heading up the ICW to Titusville, where we will anchor at the NASA Causeway Bridge. We've anchored here twice and it has proved to be a good anchorage. One thing that makes it a good stop is because it's right off the channel and quick to get back into the ICW when you are ready to leave. Some anchorages are far off the channel, which takes extra time The next morning we left at dawn, we have an 84 mile run today to Palm Coast Marina. We spent just one night here, but it was long enough to see that we'd like to come back. The next morning we filled our fuel tanks and headed 64 miles for the "free dock" at Jacksonville. We stayed here until 4/1 waiting for the wind to settle down enough for us to travel the 56 miles to Jekyll Island.
We have passed the island twice but never stopped, always on a mission to "get somewhere else"!! This turned out to be a great stop. Neither of us have ever been here and glad we made this a stop. There is a bike trail around the island, historical district, a new small shopping area and a new Westin Hotel. We didn't get to leave here as planned, will end up staying a week. The weather is not cooperating; IT's SPRING!!!!! Our plans are to leave here on Saturday...............

We left Marsh Harbor, went to an anchorage then back to West End where we will wait for good weather and cross back to the states. I'm getting sick again; this makes my second time for Bronchitis since Christmas. Yuk!!!
We waited @ West End for a few days for good weather and I felt so bad that I couldn't even ride my bike back to the beach where there was lots of beach glass...soooo sad!!!!!
When we did cross, it was a lot rougher than we expected. The trip was 100 miles, the 1st 10 was ok, the next 60 was rough (3'-6' seas), then the last 30  was very calm. I ended up napping for a long time. Getting to Ft. Pierce, Fl was a big relief. I was so glad to see american soil ahead of us!!! Plus I was glad to see the AT&T logo come up on my phone. Not having internet for 6 weeks about killed me! LOL Mel & Ann (MorningStar), were there plus they had a car (yay!); so the next day Mel took me to an Urgent Clinic, where I spent several hours and found out that I had Bronchitis again and some pneumonia. No wonder I could hardly breathe or didn't have any energy..............Sonny had to grocery shop and run whatever errands we had to do. Poor Sonny.......................We did go to the farmers market on Saturday, and visited with Mel and Ann on their boat. On Monday we rented a car and drove to the beach to eat at Archie's.
