On the morning of the 10th, we left Peterborough with lots of help. It was difficult to get going against the strong current. We sure didn't want to crash into our friends boat! We traveled 9 miles and cleared 7 locks (you see the travelling pattern, right?) making it to Lakefield, On.We spent the night, walked through town then moved on. The next day we traveled 16 miles with only 3 locks, ending at Lovesick Lock 30. The next day we traveled 23 miles to the town of Bobcaygeon, walking through this cute town. The morning of the 13th was cool with wind and rain so we waited for the weather to calm, then traveled 15 miles to Fenelon Falls.

We stayed 3 nights in Peterborough, On. over a weekend. There were concerts at an outside venue at a park connected to the marina property. There was also a rib festival very close by that we walked to and ate some great ribs...........Lots of loopers were here in Peterborough at the same time including a couple who had lived on their sailboat for 10 years and traveled around the world.

July 4 thru July 7, 2017

We went through our first of 12 locks @ 9am today. It took us 9 hours to travel 31 miles, arriving in Campbellford, On. @ 6pm.....................long day. We spent 2 nights here then left on the morning of the 6th heading to Lock 13 where we ran into a big delay. Lots of boat traffic, so we only traveled 20 miles and got through 6 locks. We stayed @ Hastings Village Marina in Hastings, On.                     On the morning of the 7th we headed to Peterborough, 38 miles and only one lock (Lock 19)!!! We will spend 3 nights here. Rest and Recreation! Well........a little excitement too!!!
