Last October when we returned home with the boat from Holland, Mi. ; we were busy with the holidays and catching up on "home duties".
On December 9th I had my 2nd (and final I hope) back surgery where Dr. Hubbard put in 3 screws.
I had spondylolisthethis. Anyhow, I'm much better.
We moved on the boat 12/31 and for the most part, never left.
The winter was a challenge to say the least. There were days of very low temps and Sonny spent lots of time shoveling snow and ice from the walkways to keep a clear path for all of us who lived at the marina. They were closed for a lot of that time.
In March I began a slow process of sorting out things at the condo for "the great loop giveaway"!
We were very, very fortunate when a super nice lady drove by in the middle of June and inquired about it (we hadn't put it on the market yet); then bought it........
So we had to be out in a month and I had to get busy.
Our four children took the majority of our possessions, some things to friends, then my sweet son-in-law and Goodwill took the remainder!!!! Thanks Buddy!!!!!!!! Lol
Sonny spent all his time cleaning and replacing lots and lots of things on this boat.
We spent time with family and friends but should have spent more.......
The last couple of weeks was very hard, lots of errands and much had to be done at the end.
Eight of our friends were at the dock when we left, one even took her houseboat out and followed us for awhile!
We traveled 60 miles, through one lock, and arrived at Commodore Yacht Club at 2:30.
