6/22/16

Heading up the Potomac River today to Capital Yacht Club in Washington, DC. We traveled 26 miles and it was a nice day, but very windy when we were docking. It was a short trip, but we did go by Mt. Vernon during the ride. When we leave here on July 12th, our plans are to stop and tour our first president's home. Act III is already docked at this marina, and Sandrobber is traveling with us; so the 3 of us will spend several days together touring the city. This whole Wharf area is under construction and will be for at least 2 more years. It is a royal pain to walk to the office/restrooms/etc. We are the furthest away of any boat here (700 steps to be exact)! Phew.................We will be here 3 wks, so we will get a workout.
